Going Green gets to dress it up, too! There are many new lines of clothing providing clothes that are eco-friendly. What is organic clothing? Well, to help you better understand: in the late 1900’s/early 2000’s, Organic Cotton (a cotton alternative to traditional cotton) was discovered. The traditional cotton had many toxic chemicals, including herbicides and pesticides. This alternative organic cotton is a healthy choice for the consumer, the environment, and the workers that produce the cotton.

According to OrganicClothing, an amazing 25% of all agricultural pesticides were at one point being used in the conventional cotton. Organic clothing is not as popular as other clothing that is produced by conventional cotton, because its textiles and styles are a lot more limited. On the other hand, there are a variety of companies and many new fashion designers coming out with great new looks produced with organic cotton. In case you have more questions on organic materials, I have found the site: Cotton Sustainability Questions & Answers that can help you learn more about organic cotton.
