City of Hope is recognized worldwide for its compassionate patient care and up- to-date medical therapy. For my mother, it became her chance of survival. In August of 2008, she had a stem cell transplant and received care in this facility. Words cannot clearly put into perspective what the staff did for my mother and what they have done for so many like her.  The hospital is set in a park like atmosphere with tranquil rose gardens where patients can take walks and meditate if needed. They also have an area called “The Village” for patients who have to stay for a long period of time. There are also limited R.V. accommodations.  Overall, my experience here was unbelievable (given the situation). Everyone there is amazing from the valet attendants, gift shop staff, receptionists, custodians, nurses, and doctors. This hospital is Hope in every sense of the word.
