Who's That You Got On? Is it Comme des Garcons

Throughout the years, it was deemed quite controversial thanks to the constant use of the color black and the distressed fabrics, including holes and tears. The line was showing a grittier alternative interpretation of moda, proving that it did not have to be all flounce and frills to look sexy. Every year, the line has evolved more and more, leaving a lot of the audience astounded, in good (and sometimes not so good) ways J.
The signature Commes de Garcons (by the way, that's French for "like boys"), stores/boutiques are only found in a very limited amount of fashion-forward cities (including New York, Paris and Tokyo), but Kawakubo has been gracious enough to design a woman's line for the beloved H&M. The prices range from $25-$350, and each piece is well worth the price, thanks to the unusual updates to classic items. For example, Kawakubo decided to revamp the timeless Little Black Dress by making it out of velvet and wool; not only is it an unexpected take on a closet staple, but it'll also keep you calientita! How many times have you been stuck freezing just because you wanted to look great? Mmmmhmmm, I hear ya! They are also offering a variety of well-worth it classic pieces (traditional Gabardine trench coat, anyone?) and a few funkier pieces in their signature polka-dot print. Start stocking up now, because you will be able to wear these items for years and years to come!
