These Boots Are Made For Walking

Although there are a ton of boot options out there for you lovely ladies to choose from, the two main trends I’ve noticed dominating the catwalk, stores and your patitas are: booties and over-the-knee boots. I can’t seem to get enough of the booties that are everywhere this season! The thing that worried me about them, however, is that I thought they made it look as if though I have cankles. The simple solution? Black, opaque tights! They make a huge difference and make it seem like I have mile-long legs (which is amazing, if you know how short I really am). Even peep-toe booties look fab with tights, so stock up!
Now to pull off the over-the-knee look: it’s all about proportion. This is another place where tights are your friends. For instance, let’s say you want to wear a sweater with a short skirt and your new over-the-knee boots. Tights will keep you from looking like you belong in Pretty Woman. Leggings are a great bet, here, too because it will help you look long and lean. I also suggest you break up the colors, as in don’t wear a black top, black bottoms and black boots, unless you’re trying to look like Catwoman. One of my favorite places to get cute boots at ridiculously low prices is forever21, which currently has a magnificent variety of booties, as well as open-toed and over-the-knee boots.
