The Latest in Mascara Technology

Givenchy'slatest mascara, Phenomen'Eyes Mascara, has been stirring up mixed reactions thanks to its scary-looking-yet-allegedly-ingenious applicator. The product developers at Givenchy came up with a spherical wand (yes, spherical!) to reach and coat each and cada pestana from root to tip. It's made out of a polymer that allows the brush to effortlessly glide over the lashes every application. I know just about every mascara claims to do just that, but do their applicators resemble a torture device from the 16th century? I heard that it is supposed to adapt to every eye shape, which does intrigue me, since my eyes are slantily almond-shaped. I gotta tell you, I'm a tad weary of using something that looks like it can severely hurt my eye. What do you think? Has anyone tried it yet? Is anyone willing to be our guinea pig?
