Perfectly Posen

Outstanding designer, Zac Posen, has done it again! He has set the fashion world on its ear thanks to his new line for Target. In honor of prom season, he is focusing on one of my favorite fashion staples: dresses. He’s even making Target’s very first gown (a long, column dress with a funky, abstract print). One of my favorite dresses so far is: a brocade, flowered (remember I told you prints were going to be popular? ‘Member? You ‘member!)  a-line dress. The dress is very “Ladies Who Lunch”, but has some of Posen’s signature sassiness attached thanks to an off-kilter neckline and a set of pockets in the flared skirt. I love that these small details keep the dress from being too saccharine. 

The other vestido I’m super-excited about is a lipstick red, ruffled masterpiece. The ruffles on the skirt are actually DETACHABLE, which allows you to customize your look to your liking. Bill Blass once said: “When in doubt, wear red”. I’m counting down the days ‘til I can wear Posen’s perfect red dress day in and day out.
