Must Have Accessories

As you may have realized by now, I love to accessorize. No, really. I LOVE it. I don't feel "dressed" unless I have a really dope necklace or some awesome earrings on. Don't even get me started on shoes and bags! I've never really followed the pack when it comes to how I dress (which can both explain a lot of my fashionable faux pas and triumphs), and accessorizing is no different. So, what should a budding fashionista have in her jewelry box? Look below for some suggestions:

-Diamond studs-

Whether real or faux, the sparkly studs add some serious pizzazz to any outfit.

-Pearls-

These are an excellent investment which will remain timeless. A sixteen inch strand will make a fancier outfit look classic while layering them allows a more modern and bohemian approach.

-Bangles-

Add an extra punch to any outfit without looking too ostentatious. Whether silver or gold, they add a small touch of dramatic elegance.

-Hoop Earrings-

Look fantastic on everyone and somehow manage to sexify any outfit. I know that sounds like an outrageous claim, but put on a pair next time with a simple tube top dress and watch your sexy-quotient get revved up a couple of notches! Plus, Latinas can work hoops like nobody's business!

-Classic Watch-

Clean lines and a simple band/face make it something you can wear day or night. A gold or silver watch travels well from your workday to your fancier events.

-Pendant Necklace-

A simple, slender chain with a hanging charm allows your personality to shine through in a subtle way. I constantly wear a simple gold necklace with a tiny, golden high heeled shoe hanging from it. It was a gift from my family so it holds a lot of sentimental value but it also allows my shoe-a-holic personality to stand out.

-Long Necklaces and/or Funky Earrings-

Whichever you choose, they add a fresher look to your outfits. The same old dress can look completely different with a pair of chandelier earrings on. A simple tank top gets a make-over with a bold necklace resting on it.
