Sleep Vacations

After spending a week in a far off vacation spot, the only thing I can think of is “REST”. It’s weird how we usually come home tired from vacation. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I usually plan to come home a day or two early before I have to return to work, just so I can recover from my vacation.
The worse thing in the world is a bad night’s sleep. I figure that may be the main reason why most of us come home so tired from our vacations. Between the funky sounds in your hotel room to the not-so-right pillow, it can be extremely debilitating.
So, I was completely intrigued when I heard of “sleep vacations”. I am not a big fan of sleeping over my 8 hours a day, but when I am sleeping, I am irresistibly devoted to the deep, relaxing sleep that I need. They say a good night’s sleep is just as “delicious” as good sex. Hmm….I know some of you may disagree, but maybe you haven’t experienced a sleep vacation. Serio! Just the thought of it makes me want to pack my pajamas and go!
The Westin is one of the leaders in the luxurious sleep industry. They have the Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Crib, Heavenly Shower and the Heavenly Dog Bed. Tu perrito tambien duerme, no? The Westin has gone as far as making an entire hotel room aimed at minimizing sleep deprivation and jetlag at one of their Chicago Hotels.
Ask your travel agent for more information regarding Sleep Vacations. Some hotels have entire floors dedicated to the restful slumber of their guests, including special doors that don’t slam, special curtains that hide el solesito and gadgets that provide white noise. If only they could fix my muchacho’s snoring problem, then I’d be set! Either way, my next vacation will definitely be a sleep vacation. *YAWN*, yes definitely!
