Verizon Smartphones have free international calls on Skype

As of Thursday, March 25th, Verizon Wireless customers with 3G smatphones --- with data plans --- will be able to make free international calls using Skype to call other Skype customers worldwide.
A few key things to keep in mind:

- Skype mobile provides great value to Verizon Wireless 3G smartphone users with data plans --- it offers them an exclusive new way to make international calls for free to hundreds of millions of Skype customers around the world.
- Unlike with other wireless service providers, Skype mobile users on Verizon Wireless will be able to be “always on” instead of only while the application is running.
- Customers using Skype mobile on the Verizon Wireless network will be able to send instant messages to other Skype users.
Skype mobile will first launch on the BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530, Storm2™ 9550, Curve™ 8330, Curve™ 8530, 8830 World Edition and Tour™ 9630 smartphones, as well as DROID by Motorola, DROID ERIS™ by HTC and Motorola DEVOUR™.
