Hennessy, the #1 selling cognac in the world, honored the musical and philanthropic legacy of Mexican icon, Juan Gabriel, at the “Person of the Year” Dinner on November 4 at the Mandalay Bay. In a surprising twist of events, the Hennessy family’s own Global Brand Ambassador, Maurice Hennessy and Moet Hennessy President and CEO, Mark Cornell raised their initial donation from $20,000 to $50,000 in support of Gabriel’s charity, Semjase, a music school for underprivileged children based in his hometown of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. The announcement was made on stage as Juan Gabriel was presented with the generous donation in the presence of the Latin music’s top musical artist and entertainment industry executives.
As the official spirits sponsor for the second consecutive year, Hennessy Privilege will continue the 10th Annual Latin Grammy festivities by sharing their exclusive Hennessy Privilege Suite experience with invitation-only guests within the Official Latin Grammy After-Party at the Mandalay Bay South Convention Center. The Hennessy Privilege Suite will undoubtedly be viewed by top industry heavies, influential tastemakers and celebrities alike as an ultra-luxe oasis from all other events happening that night. Hennessy Privilege blended cocktails will be served alongside Hennessy’s marquis spirits throughout the evening. The celebration will commence at 8:30pm until 12:30am.
