Wow, when I saw this video clip of Salma Hayek breastfeeding a week old baby from Africa that was not hers, my mouth dropped to the floor. I couldn’t help but feel a certain pride that she is Latina. I felt like I had a frog in my throat as I watched it; honestly I couldn’t help cry a little. One could only hope to be brave enough, to not care what the world thought. Through her simple action, she is taught all of us how to be unselfish, giving, and caring to a stranger.

Salma is the new spokeswoman for “One Pack, One Vaccine”, a global initiative launched in 2006 to provide tetanus shots to mothers and infants in Asia and Africa.

Procter & Gamble will donate five cents from every specially marked Pampers product sold in the US and Canada to UNICEF from April 1st-June. This is expected to raise over $1 million for the program.

Each year, 140,000 infants and 30,000 women in developing countries die from tetanus: a life threatening but preventable disease, which can be contracted during childbirth.  UNICEF is excited that Salma and Pampers joined UNICEF for their fight against tetanus and helping them move closer their goal of completely eliminating the disease.

Salma your inspiration to us all…

Sorry but I felt a lil different about this one...She couldn't just give the mother money for milk? Something's are better left unknown.

+1 @Jenny. I was kinda appalled by this. Why would any woman think it is ok to breastfeed someone else's kid? This didn't make any sense to me at all. In fact, it creeped me out a little.
