Its three o’clock… do you know where your kids are? For many years The Boys & Girls Club of America has used this campaign to stress the importance of afterschool care. Statistics have shown that between 3pm-6 pm, the majority of crime involving children occurs.

The Boys & Girls Clubs operate all over the United States and overseas in military bases.  They provide a safe place to learn and grow, as well as Life-enhancing programs and character development experiences. Above all, The Boys and Girls Clubs offer hope and opportunity to many.

As a former member and Club director, I have seen the impact up close and personal, along with the ongoing relationships these children build with caring professionals. People like Denzel Washington, Alex Rodriguez, and Shaquille O’Neal were also club kids and have continued to support and raise funds for services at clubs.  The Clubs’ mission is to: “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” I can tell you that for me, the club in the city of Cathedral City did that and more!
