Oh, girl, let me tell you! It has been reported that the Mexican Mafia is the reason behind the cancellation of the up-and-coming movie, of ‘Queen of the South’ featuring Eva Mendes, Josh Hartnett, and Ben Kingsley. It was supposed to be the film adaptation of the novel by Arturo Perez.

In the film, Eva Mendes was supposed to play the role of the girlfriend of a Mexican drug dealer who was murdered. After his murder, she escapes to Spain where she is under the care of another mobster, in order to master the world of the Mexican Mafia. Apparently, the real Mexican Mafia did not like the idea of the movie and began sending death threats to the family of the film director, Jonathan Jakubowicz. Because of this, the movie is said to be cancelled.
