Mo’Nique Wins Big At Golden Globes!

Look at her! Standing tall and proud with her Golden Globe in hand and a well deserved Golden Globe at that!
Last Sunday night, the 2010 Golden Globe Awards were held in Los Angeles, CA.
While it rained, the stars did not seemed phased by it; they were up for having a good time.
Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, Robert Downey Jr. were among the actors who took home an award.
But the night belonged to Mo’nique, a comedian who is not known for dramatic roles.
She beat pretty much the top-leading actresses in the category of Best Supporting Actress In A Motion Picture, which included:
Penelope Cruz, Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick, and Juliane Moore.
Her speech was one of a kind, filled with joy and tears.
She said, "Everybody kept asking me do I know my speech, and I said, 'No, I don't know what I'm going to say because I don't want people to think I just know I done won something,' so no, I don't know! When I tell you all I am in the midst of my dream and when I look into the eyes of the man I stood next to at 14 years old and I said to him, 'One day we're going to be stars, and he said, 'You first.'"
"And we walked this red carpet together tonight. Sidney, I will love you more than you will ever know, baby."
She also dedicated the award to abuse victims, "I celebrate this award with all the Precious’s, with all the Mary’s -- I celebrate this award with every person that's ever been touched," she said. "It's now time to tell. And it's okay."
Beautifully put Mo’Nique and well deserved.
