Chris Brown’s Apology Publicity Tour

Remember when people loved Chris Brown? They thought he was the next MJ? You know, he’s a dancer, a singer, and sometimes a low budget movie actor. Well, those days are now gone. From what seemed like a fairytale relationship with one of the hottest superstars (Rihanna) to an unlikely turn of events, you know when he beat the crap out of her that one night, Chris Brown is on his road to a full non-stop in your face (don’t worry he wont hit you) promotional tour.
Chris Brown has an album coming out and in order to promote his album he is pulling all the stops in order to gain sales.
Remember that awkward Larry King interview (anyone see it?) where he umm doesn’t “remember” attacking his girlfriend. He kept saying, “Wow…its like wow!”
His next stop on the Chris Brown Apology Express is MTV NEWS. In an hour long (too long) interview he sits down with MTV to discuss that fateful night.
Of the ordeal he says: "My thoughts [when I look back on it now] is like, why did it happen?"
"Like, what was I thinking? What is wrong with you? That's what I'm thinking with myself. That's what my thoughts are, basically, now.
"It's like, how do we get past it? How do you, Chris — talking to myself — how do you go from point A to point B? How do you learn from your mistakes, turn it into a positive and help other people with the situation and at the end of the day become the person that you want to be?"
The incident, which occurred in February, has since become the topic of Domestic Violence across the nation.
Look, here is the thing, not only did he physically assault Rihanna, but he also threatened to kill her. His actions since then have been questionable. It’s not that he probably isn’t sorry, but the way he has acted throughout this whole situation, just seems a little forced and un-genuine.
Releasing an album hoping people will forget what you did is not going to work.
Sometimes a sorry doesn’t cut it. That image of Rihanna bruised up will forever haunt him.
As for his career, only time will tell.
The interview with Chris Brown aired Friday, November 6th, at 6 p.m. on MTV.
