Reason's to take the day off

If you're like me, you like to save up your sick days and vacation time until the end of the end for a long vacation out of the country. I used to think this way, but I found myself burnt out mid-year. Even after my car accident, I showed up to work 2 days later, barely able to move my neck. Now I'm a little older and wiser and I've learned that it's important to take personal time off for yourself; that's exactly why personal time was invented. My supervisor should not have to see me hungover or coughing all over clients. We can't be super woman all the time, so if you're still in doubt, here are a few reasons to take a day off.
Reason's to take the day off:
-
-
Hungover. Enough said.
-
Bad break up. Replaying the final fight in your head over and over is unproductive.
-
You are sick. Sure, you think it makes you look like a trooper but in reality everyone in the office is more concerned with not catching your cold.
-
Finals and important exams. I always say: “Education comes first.” You only get one chance to pass that test, so take the day off to study hard and pass it the first time.
-
Your health. Go to the doctor, get that mole checked out, visit your gyno., or go to the dentist. Take care of yourself and it will pay off in the long run.
-
Down time. Catch up on your favorite t.v. show or treat yourself to mani/pedi followed by a cupcake. Sometimes you just need to relax and leave the stress at work. It will still be there when you return.
