Happy Meditation

I never knew I had it in me to be a soul saver.  But, I think I have the tools to do just that.  How, you ask?  Well, by meditating.  Yes, happy meditations.  I promise you: it is a great and easy way to cleanse your soul and make you feel happy quick.   I currently meditate at least twice a week.  Here are the quick and easy steps to soul rejuvenation:

  •
    • Close your eyes and relax your body.
    • Put a small and easy smile on your face.  Your face muscles shouldn’t be hurting from your smile by the end of this.
    • Now imagine that your hands and feet are bound by a soft yellow silk ribbon and the other end of the ribbon is tied to the center of the planet.  In other words, you are grounded.  This is very important because you have to feel as one with the planet (keep smiling).
    • Next, you will see soft yellow or white light flowing from above you and coming in through the top of your head (keep smiling).
    • Let the light flow slowly past your eyes, nose, mouth and into your neck.  See it swirling around softly as it takes away any pains you feel in those areas (keep smiling).
    • As it flows down your body, see it going out towards your hands, into each finger.  Feel the light going down your torso and flowing slowly down toward your legs.  Feel the light going all the way through the bottom of your feet and down into the ground.  You will feel refreshed (keep smiling).
    • The light will stay in your body as you see the flow into your head and out your feet stop (keep smiling).
    • Now, imagine the ribbons slowly flowing of your hands and feet as you start to “feel” the noises, scents and the air around you (keep smiling).
    • Open your eyes and continue about your day.  These 9 steps should last about 3 to 4 minutes.

These simple steps have cleared my mind before I have to tackle a big crowd, an aggressive client or my vivacious children.  It calms me and takes away the pains I feel in my soul.  As you get better at meditating, you can make your sessions last longer and you can imagine other colors that come to mind.  Go with the flow and let your imagination run wild…whatever makes you feel happy and safe.

Oh, and don’t worry, you can thank me later for saving your soul!

I like your simple guide to meditating... I have such a bad memory I hope I can remember the steps. If I could clear my mind I bet the memory thing would improve :)
