Suerte del Diez

10-10-10 is about six months away and many hotels and ceremonial sites are offering special packages for this, “said to be lucky” date, but is it really lucky? Latinos are very superstitious people. We don’t put the purse on the floor. We make the babies wear a red string para el “ojo”. Let’s not forget about not looking at the dog go pee pee or you will go blind! I’m not making this up! I promise.
Given our superstitious roots, I can see how some soon to be wed amigos would choose 10-10-10 as the ideal date.
Something leads me to believe that perhaps the groom might have his own reasons. For instance, it’s easy to remember! It’s no secret… men forget important dates! Well, this is one way they are sure to remember. So many venues are offering all-inclusive rates and special pricing for this date. 10-10-10 falls on a Sunday so this will eliminate some fees due to the day of the week.
I personally believe that it does not matter what date you marry, the success or outcome of the marriage has to do with factors that don’t even play a role in the relationship until after the union.
