If you thought the dress was a task boy do you have a bigger task ahead! It’s Time to select the Wedding Party. Take a deep breath grab a pen, paper, and don’t forget the Mr.! He should have the pleasure of dealing with the selection process.  Here we go:

  •
    • Determine the size of your Wedding Party- Wedding etiquette says 1 groomsmen and 1 bridesmaid to every 50 guests. If you’re Mexican you know this rule doesn’t apply. We have everyone attending in the wedding! Try not to make it too large because that’s more people you have to worry about.
    • Also determine how involved your wedding party will be. Make a list of responsibilities
    • When selecting remember these people should possess qualities like dependability, stability, availability, and affordability.
    • Make a list of possible attendee‘s – keep in mind relatives or friends you have special relationships with. Do not let your relatives make you feel pressured. This is a decision that needs to be made by you and the future Mr.
    • Also don’t choose someone who has a history of taking too many tequila shots and will end up on the dance floor making snow angels.
    • Next to each name write down any reason why this person should not be chosen.
    • Don’t feel obligated to pick someone who chose you to be in their wedding.
    • Hold a meeting and explain to everyone what is expected and create a checklist to be completed by each attendee with all contact information Phone number, email address, etc.

If someone is not able to participate as an attendee and you still want them involved there are other ways like ushering, or passing out programs at church. Just keep in mind this is you day and these decisions are all up to you.
