Revlon Women’s Cancer Walk/Run

It’s that time of year again; The Revlon Women’s Cancer Walk/Run will take place Saturday, May 8 (May 1 for New York). I’ve been doing the walk for the past two years with friends and family. In 2008, the first year, a big group of Fashionistas joined me. In 2009, I ran it with my cousin Katy, which was hilarious because that girl couldn’t run for more than a block, but the reason I participate in the Revlon Women’s Cancer Walk/Run is in memory of grandmother who passed away in 2005 from Cancer. It’s one of the ways I remember and pay my respects to her.
You can also participate as either a runner or a walker. Simply register in this year’s event and be a part of helping to defeat women’s cancers. Help raise funds for the Run/Walk beneficiaries so they can continue with life saving research and provide valuable services to the women in our lives – our mothers, sisters, aunts and daughters. It’s a 5k run or walk (3.5miles), totally doable! Invite your friends, primas, and tías. At the end of the walk/run, they usually have a concert at the Coliseum with a cool band. One year they had the Go Gos perform.
