Make It a Safe Trip

What could be the worst part of a trip? Bad weather and road closures.
Bad weather can occur at all times of the year. Across the country, you will find that there are dangerous driving conditions almost every day. I have found a great website, www.safetravelusa.com. This is the site you should review anytime you are planning a trip outside of your general daily travels. This website will give you information that is updated daily on road conditions. It shows construction areas, snow detail, Highway Patrol closures and incidents and highway incident reports. Each state has a different system, but most states post information in great detail.
Imagine driving through a freeway that you are not used to, come up to a road closure and you don’t know what to do. That is why it is so important to take all information with you. You can be prepared before you leave your casita. You will know what alternate routes are available or if you need chains for you tires, in case you are traveling through high-altitudes or if you will need to check your wipers for the hard rain you will encounter on your trip.
We Latinas are very smart and savvy. Lo sabemos todo, verdad? Well, now you can show off your smarts when you show your travel buddies how informed you are. You can just tell them that you very well connected *wink, wink* and it’ll be our secretito!
