Café Cubano or Café con Leche is a Cuban daily ritual. Café Cubano is double the strength of American Coffee. Rather than sipped, it is served like a shot. Similar to our espresso shots, this café is the right thing to get the day going. Cubans typically brew Café Cubano in an Italian espresso maker, but it can also be made stovetop.

If the Café Cubano is too strong try Café con Leche this is basically milk with café and can also be made on the stovetop. Here’s how you do it:

Ingredients:

  • Milk
  • Taza (shot) de café cubano

Directions:

  1. Heat milk in a pot.
  2. Pour the hot milk in a mug.
  3. Throw in a taza de café cubano.
  4. Viola!
