Buca di Beppo

The first night of the “Latino Lifestyle Blogger Conference” started off with a delicious dinner at one of my favorite places EVER: Buca di Beppo. We all rolled up to the restaurant in style thanks to our white stretch limos provided by our LLBG founder, Ana Lydia Monaco. She went to great lengths (along with the attentive restaurant staff), to make sure we had a private room where we could all get to know each other better. I’m glad they did, because I don’t think the patrons would have been happy with all our constant laughter!
We got started off with two different types of sangria (white and red), a green salad, a Spinach-and-Bacon Salad and (my own personal favorite) their Green Apple and Gorgonzola Salad. We all filled up a little too much on salad (we couldn’t help it!), so were a little full by the time Buca’s Penne a la Vodka, Spaghetti and Meatballs and Chicken Limone came out. We definitely did some damage, because we could not put our forks down! The Chicken was amazing and we all tried our best to stop eating, but resistance… was futile. Dessert was layered chocolate cake and ricotta cheesecake that was richer than Donald Trump. Dessert was the only time our table was actually quiet because we were all so busy savoring every little bite.
As always, Buca never disappoints! In the many years, I’ve been going, I always stick to the Apple Gorgonzola Salad and Chicken Marsala, so it was great to venture out and try some new things. The Chicken Limone is definitely on my favorites list, now, along with the Spinach and Bacon Salad! I really can’t wait to go back and have both! Thankfully, there are Buca di Beppo’s all over California, so I can be sure to get my fix!
