In the summer alfalfa studio produced a series of 4 animated shorts to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Nickelodeon Preschool TV (aka Nick Jr.). The shorts feature 4 Latinos and Latinas who are exciting role models for kids: musician Tito Puente, astronaut Ellen Ochoa, inventor Narcís Monturiol, and Olympic swimmer Dara Torres.
With original collage illustrations and dozens of hand-painted backgrounds, we had a ball designing the characters.
In addition, we directed the stories and animation, supervised all production and post-production aspects, and collaborated with an extended team that included writers, an award-winning composer, producers, sound designers, animators, voiceover artists and, of course, a terrific client.
The shorts are targeted to preschoolers of all ages, including you! So if you missed them on TV, check them out on our website.
