Diddy Throws Son a Super Sweet 16

Remember the days when you would turn 16, and your parents would invite your whole family and make carne asada? Oh and there was a cake your mom made out of Pillsbury Doughboy boxes? Anyone? And your grandma’s idea of a gift, was her giving you a dollar so you can “buy a soda” (btw this actually happened to me, and no my grandma wasn’t poor, she was just cheap… and yeah, I went there) Well the times have changed my dear fashionistas.And we can thank MTV for making us feel like our kid’s 16th birthday party will never be GOOD. Look here, Justin Combs, son of one of the most annoying celebrities out there: DIDDY. You know him; he is an Entrepreneur/Failed Band Maker. The party was thrown by Diddy and taped for the new season of MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16”

Guest list wasn’t just some primos, tíos, tías, abuelitos, abuelitas and some homies…

Some of DIDDY’s new “projects”(aka future failed projects) were there and performances by Jim Jones, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, Heavy D, Jada Kiss, Trey Songz, etc.

Did I mention he (Diddy’s son) was also given a brand new car! You know, because rich people need that… more cars.

When most 16 year olds are either having a little get together, sometimes MTV you need not rub it in our face that we don’t have the luxury to throw big parties like that. Sometimes, us Latinos, and most middle class people, are content with the little get-togethers we have. We may not have money to get Lil’Kim to flash a little boob and we may not have money to get people to perform for us. Sometimes… just sometimes, our Tío getting drunk and singing Rancheras is all the entertainment we need ok? Sometimes, us “middle class” people are fine with the fact that our parents are not RICH and or FAMOUS, sometimes MTV you can be a real CABRON, sometimes you can hit where it hurts… who wants to see a 16 year old brag about how much paper he has? Huh? NO ONE.
