People are not celebrating occasions to the same degree they did in years past. The economy has left many jobless and with limited incomes. How do you explain to a five- year-old child that their birthday this year is not gonna happen? Well, let’s not and Plan a Party on a limited income.
Invitations- Call, e-mail, or text invites instead of buying invitations
Cake -Bake your own for a fraction of the cost
Food- If this is a huge issue, just invite guests over for cake and ice cream
Decorations- 99-cent stores have plenty of things: banners, candy bags, candy, cake candles etc.
Entertainment- Use washable colors and stamps and do face
painting or organize a series of tournments with video games or traditional games like four square.
Kids are more understanding than we give them credit for. If you do something instead of nothing, your child will be just as happy, guaranteed.
