Okay, so yes I am a holiday fanatic ¡y me vale! I know at times my loves think I go overboard because I wanna have a fiesta for every holiday and everyone’s birthday. I DON’T CARE! Perfect example el día de San Patricio is tomorrow. Why is it most Latinos say, "Oh, I'm not Irish". "It’s not my holiday!" ¡Que importa!  Honestly, those are the same people texting me on St. Patrick’s Day talking about drink specials at a local bar. There is nothing wrong with being patriotic even when it’s not your people! Let’s embrace one another's culture have a green beer y ya. Alternatively, you can throw your own Saint Patty’s Day fiesta.

 

 

1. Visit your local Dollar Tree Store. They have everything you need: cups, plates, decorations and snacks.
2. Buy green food coloring or lime Jell-o mix and add color to all food!
3. Invite all of your friends to bring several types of Irish beers. Stores like BevMo carry a wide selection of imports.
4. Ask one of your crazy tios to dress up with a beard to be the leprechaun. In my case it would be my dad, he would be a perfect fit!

 

 

Why not host a party no one would expect. Everyone knows they want to celebrate it, but always wait for their one Irish friend to suggest something. Here is your chance to be Irish for a day, JUST DO IT!
