Well, it’s no surprise that we are all being affected by the economical crisis. However, children are still celebrating birthdays and we are still having parties. So what are some gift ideas for kids that won’t leave a hole in your wallet?

  1. Art supplies- crayons, markers, coloring books, etc.
  2. Play dough
  3. Lego’s or blocks
  4. Super hero caps or lucha libre masks you can get south of the border. These are really fun!
  5. Tiaras and crowns
  6. Stationary products with their favorite cartoon character.
  7. Beach Buckets , shovels
  8. DIY kits (for example, jewelry maker)
  9. Board games – Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Uno, etc.

Great places to go and find goodies are the 99 cent stores or the “dollar spot” at Target. Think of a great way to gift wrap it, or personalize the items with permanent markers.  Anytime I’m wrapping a little girl’s gift I like to use tulle as a bow or ribbon. It gives it that final touch and using ribbon made out of fabric will add a certain special detail to the gift.
