How many times have you been to a wedding and you keep looking  over at the cake “pues couando lo vana partir?!”. Much to your surprise the novios conspicuously cut only the one tier and save the rest for the next day. Que? Are you kidding me?! I want sweets NOW! Well, I’m here to tell you that there is a new fad amoung weddings and fiestas. It is the Candy Station. I love doing these because they are so much fun.

Many Novios are trading in the edible favor for a Candy Station. Its easy to set  up and cost effective . Most event planners use apothecary jars. However, you can use different-sized vases. Also, you can use various conatiners depending on the event and theme. If you don’t want to deal with the hassle of puttng it together, hire someone who can. Some Event Planning companies specialize in Candy Stations for about three dollars a guest, and set up and take down. Plus, you can pay an additional fee for an on-site candy station attendant.

Candies can be color specific to match the wedding colors or can be colorful and fun. Silver scoopers add an elegant touch. I purchased mine at Smart and Final for about three dollars. Place small bags or boxes to allow guests to take candies home.

So don’t settle for  Jordan Almonds wrapped in tulle when you can have a unique Candy Station.
