Musica para las Mamas
With Mother’s Day approaching, we are all thinking of what to get our moms or what can we do to show them cuanto les agradesemos todo. Or maybe it’s not about our mom. Maybe we have a female in our lives that is like a mother to us: a grandma, a step-mom, tia, godmother, or just someone else’s mom whose always been there. Taking time to say thank you or show gratitude is what this day is all about. It seems that no person is ever too proud, big or tough to show momma love. Many artists have made songs in honor of their moms. No matter how hard a rapper can act, no matter how tough the thug in them seems, the lyrics weren’t as hard when talking about their mom. Or the Spanish sound of the banda or conjunto that usually had the party dancing suddenly turns around to a slower melody, as a trubute to las mujeres lindas starts playing. Here are some Spanish and English songs I found that pay tribute to the mamas. Download them and play them for the special mom in your life!
