We’ve all heard that saying before, right ladies? So-and-so went back to her cheating ex, someone else is still sticking around putting up with the unnecessary! Pero alli estan! They are still there, they chose to stay! Les gusta la mala vida! They seem to be enjoying the life they are living if they are still there!
So, again, let’s go back to the Chris Brown and Rhianna case! Yes, I know, it’s everywhere, but what if this domestic violence case is no different then something that’s happened to someone we know? I was shocked to hear they were back together! Waaait! They got right back?! Wow! C’mon ladies! We HAVE TO do better than that. People make mistakes, we’re human, we react, over react, act in rage, fine, but we must have a ZERO tolerance for abuse! It’s been confirmed that Rhianna and Chris have reunited, have been spotted hanging out, even rumors of a vacation!
TMZ had even reported that she doesn’t want to testify in court and will meet with her lawyers and the judge about remaining silent to prevent her from losing more privacy then she already has and from her story leaking through to the public eye! FYI to her: You’re a Hollywood super star; your whole life is in the public eye! Man, I’m just disappointed! Maybe I’m over reacting, but let me leave you with these few facts I found:
-4.8 million intimate partner-related physical assaults and rapes occur every year. Less than 20 percent of battered women sought medical treatment following an injury.
-Women ages 20-24 are at greatest risk of non-fatal domestic violence
-In 2005, 1,181 women were murdered by an intimate partner. That's an average of three women every day! Of all the women murdered in the U.S., about one-third were killed by an intimate partner
(Ok, I know we‘re not talking attempted murder for Chris Brown, but the abuse leads to other things! DO NOT put up with it ladies!! No one deserves that!)
