Adam “MCA” Yauch Ailing

I was blissfully shocked to hear that one of my all-time favorite groups, the Beastie Boys were going to be touring this year. I was literally ready to go purchase tickets for the boo and myself, when I received some shocking and disheartening news: Adam “MCA” Yauch, one of the founding members of the Beasties and well-known human rights activist, announced that he had a cancerous tumor in his lymph node. The great thing is that it was caught in its early stages, is completely treatable, and should not affect his highly-recognizable voice. Unfortunately, the crew’s album and tour will be delayed as Yauch heals. Our prayers and positive vibes are all with the MCA and may he be back in performing-form soon!
