PALOMAYA Launches “FREEDOM, STRENGTH and LOVE” & T-shirt Design Contest

Artisan-inspired lifestyle company Palomaya, launched a national artist search to design the Summer/Fall 2010 limited edition T-shirt. Fifty percent (50%) of the proceeds from the sale of the winning T-Shirt design will benefit US-based non-profits that advance the next generation of Hispanic women and youth.
This first annual “Freedom, Strength and Love” T-shirt design search offers the winning artist the opportunity to have her/his artwork showcased on Palomaya’s limited edition T-shirt sold exclusively on palomaya.com, participate in the Palomaya Summer 2010 photo-shoot and receive national media exposure.
“We’re excited to launch the first annual “Freedom, Strength and Love” T-shirt design contest,” stated Lorena Musselman, founder and owner of Palomaya. “The limited edition T-shirt will celebrate the work of a Latino artist, and raise awareness of the need to contribute to the organizations that are making a difference in the lives of Hispanic women and children.”
PALOMAYA T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST
* “Freedom, Strength and Love” incorporated in one design
* Either “freedom,” “strength” or “love” as a design topic, or
* Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos.
The one-of-a-kind design must include:
* An artistic or cultural connection to Latin America AND the USA
* The “Palomaya” brand name
* The “Palomaya” logo
* “Freedom, Strength and Love”
Designs that depict or interpret the following will not be considered:
* Lewd or vulgar language.
* Language that is hateful, defamatory, slanderous or libel
* Language that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, age or any other basis protected by Federal, State, or Local Law, Ordinance, or Regulation.
* Language that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where the Submission is created.
* Material that violates or infringes another's rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights.
* Material that is copyrighted, trademarked, protected by trade secret or otherwise subject to third party proprietary rights, including privacy and publicity rights, unless you are the owner of such rights or have permission from their rightful owner to post the material.
Palomaya was launched earlier this year, together with its commitment to contribute 15% of its proceeds to charities and non-profit organizations that focus on helping local communities.
Artists wishing to participate in the Palomaya limited edition t-shirt contest can request a copy of the “authorization to use materials/information” prior to submitting their T-shirt artwork/design via email to
palomaya@padma-media-marketing.com. T-shirt artwork/design can be mailed via electronic file to: padma media and marketing, Inc., c/o Palomaya, 11500 Olympic Blvd., Suite 400, Los Angeles, CA 90064, BY AUGUST 10, 2010, together with a signed and dated copy of the “authorization to use materials/information,” or emailed to palomaya@padma-media-marketing.com.
NOTE:
Failure of any Submission to comply with the above restrictions (collectively, the "Content Restrictions"), as determined by Palomaya in its sole discretion, will result in disqualification. Misdirected, lost, late, inaccurate, incomplete, mutilated or illegible entries are not the responsibility of Palomaya, and are void. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible. Participants who disregard these Official Rules may be declared ineligible. All entries become the property of Palomaya and will neither be returned nor acknowledged.
