Biography
I was born in El Salvador. My mother left me at 8-months old to come to the United States to work and provide for me and my older sister with things she didn’t have growing up. She left us with my grandparents to care for us. It took her 5 years to save enough money to send for my sister and me to come to Los Angeles with hopes of providing opportunities to better our life. Although my family and I are naturalized citizens, I have a great pride knowing we came as immigrants in search for the “American Dream”. Here in the States, I went to school and learned English. I graduated high school and went onto college. Even though I have a good job, I’ve always had something in me that wanted more in life. Maybe it’s the struggles that my mom went through that made me strive to greatness. That’s when I started my own company: Del Corazon Collection (it translates to “from the heart”). I wanted my company to have a Spanish name so I can represent the Latin community
