How Often Should You Reapply Sun Block?

Just because you applied your sunscreen at 10:00a.m. before heading out the door, doesn’t mean you’ll be covered by 4:00p.m. (especially after a day of hiking and swimming). First you need to remember your first application of sun block should be 15 to 30 minutes prior to sun exposure. People always forget this rule (they tend to apply sun block right before their activity), so don’t forget!
According to the website Lifetips.com: “Most sunscreens and sun blocks are only effective for about four hours and even "waterproof" or "sweat proof" formulas can wear off after 80 minutes of activity. Therefore, you should reapply sunscreen every two or three hours--and more often if swimming or sweating a lot. You should also reapply sun block every time you towel dry.
