Grand Canyon-Stick To The Main Roads

Last Thursday I was driving back from a grand-opening with some co-workers, when one of them began telling us a story about how her family got chased by Indians at the Grand Canyon. Well, believe it or not, she did. It seems that there are actual Indian tribes still living in that area and she, her and her family must have gone onto their land. She says that they must have taken a wrong turn or something. Either way, it was hilarious! Fact is, you step on anybody's sacred place and they'd all chase you out of there!
If you stick to the main roads in the area, you should be just fine. Actually the Grand Canyon has some great places to visit on your own or with a guided tour. If you just want to go see the Grand Canyon, it is fun to go on your own and walk around the edge and visit the little shops and museum. But if you want to make a vacation out of it, then you should definitely take a tour of the area. There are great ways to see the Grand Canyon, either by jeep, by the river, by helicopter or by mule, Yes, a mule. But if you want to ride one of these babies, you'll have to plan ahead, as they are usually booked up to 6 months in advance.
You can also go river rafting down the Colorado River. They have different levels of rafting from floating to White Water River rafting, which will make you feel more alive than ever! Just don’t wear white, girls, because you WILL get wet. You can get different packages that last as long as you want, from 1 day to 7 days at the Grand Canyon.
So plan your next trip to the Grand Canyon and remember to stick to the main roads!!!
