Brazil

I think it’s funny that I typed in Brazil and plastic surgery websites popped up. I have heard the news lately. I know this is the plastic surgery center of the world, but really?? That is most the most fascinating thing?? I can’t believe that. Oh, wait, did I just forget about the soccer team? I don’t watch many sports, but I do remember hearing my tios, screaming: “No, ya gano Brazil!” Who can forget Pele! Ok, so they have a great soccer team and a lot of plastic surgeons. But the country is so big.
Okay, okay, so there is a lot more to see and do. Actually, the country is so big that the best way of getting around and see it all is by getting an air pass. This air pass usually costs about $399 and is only available to non-citizens holding a return ticket out. It will allow you to fly to four different locations within the country. Cool, huh? Imagine, coming to the US and then being able to travel around to four different cities within the US for $399. Wow, now there’s an idea!
Do you remember the song by Celia Cruz, “Carnaval”? Of course, you do. Well, she wasn’t kidding. They have a huge Carnaval each year. It is celebrated throughout the country, but one of the highlights of Rio's carnaval, traditionally takes place along the Passarela do Samba in Rio de Janeiro. It is a pre-lent celebration. Tickets sell out quickly, so you must plan ahead.
Brazil has its summer from December through February, meaning kids are out of school and there are a lot of people traveling, so it’s best to stay away during that time. But depending on what you want to do there, (whether it’s visiting the beaches, the Amazon Rainforest or the big cities), you’ll have to check the best times to visit each area.
Wow, I didn’t know the Lambada originated in Brazil! Besides soccer, Brazil is also well known for its dances. The dances include Samba (which is the most famous), Baião, Bossa Nova and Lambada… ooh, sexy! Most of the Brazilian dances have an African feel and touch to them.
So, which country has the sexiest fun? I vote for Brazil. So, dust off your dancing shoes and your soccer ball and head down to beautiful Brazil.
