Pizza by the Slice

I love pizza and for a long time it was a family tradition to eat pizza on Fridays. To this day, I enjoy pizza because it's simple, fast, convenient and cheap. Despite my fondness for it, I know it's not the healthiest choice and depending on how you order it, can really pack in the calories. On average I eat about 2-3 slices, so it's important for me to be smart about what kind of toppings I choose on my pizza.
Meat toppings (such as pepperoni) add extra calories and grease. Regular crust pizza is a good choice but an even better choice is thin crust, because it cuts calories and carbohydrates. Definitely avoid anything with stuffed crust or deep dish. Order thin crust cheese or vegetable toppings. Here's a calorie chart comparing the different types of pizza:
Domino's Pizza (calories by the slice):
Regular crust, cheese- 272
Regular crust, pepperoni- 324
Thin crust, cheese -123
Deep dish, cheese-332
Deep dish, pepperoni-366
Pizza Hut
Thick crust, cheese-266
Regular crust, pepperoni- 298
“Super Supreme”, regular crust-305
Little Caesar's Pizza
Thin crust, cheese-148
Deep dish, cheese-268
Regular, pepperoni -246
If you're like me and can't have just one slice, choose a low calorie option.
