It’s about that time familiares. La celebración del día de Pascua. Sunday I got to decorating. As I was looking through my collection of goodies, it hit me! I had all these plastic eggs without a purpose and I thought, I could make an invitación out of plastic eggs!

You can find them at the dollar stores for 99 cents a dozen. They come in various designs and colors depending on what kind of mood you’re in. If you’re like me, and you save everything, you might have plastic eggs left over from last year. Some people call it clutter I like to think of it as recyclables.

Therefore, the idea in mind is to print an invitación on some type of pastel colored paper that will fold nicely to be tucked away into the egg. Stuff the egg also with confetti as an added touch. Then take ribbon, tulle, or raffia and tie if around the egg. Attach a tag that reads “You’re Invited”. In keeping with the theme if you are hand delivering them arrange them in an empty egg carton and wear your bunny ears. If you would like to mail the egg. purchase a box just big enough to hold the egg and fill it with Easter grass to keep the egg from moving during the mailing process.

This year when all is said and done and the chiquitos leave their empty plastic eggs DON’T toss them save them for next year, you never know what you can create!
