Jean Paul Gaultier, the French designer that introduced us to Madonna’s infamous cone bra, is ready to set the fashion world on its head again. He has long been inspired by American women and their love for rock ‘n’ roll, so he wanted to bring his latest inspiration to the mass media through fashion-forward, Target.
Although he is known for his outlandish artistic vision (like sending shirtless male models down the runway in nothing but a kilt), the ironic thing about his new line is how “tame” it is. It’s filled with classic trench coats and leather jackets, along with feminine flowered frocks and girly eyelet dresses. He adds some sassy details to all of his pieces, which adds that air of rock ‘n’ roll fantasy that Gaultier is so fond of.
I am freakishly excited about this, counting down the days! You can get your French fashion fix from March 7th-April 11th, but I suggest you hurry up and snatch up everything you can get your manitas on; this line is guaranteed to sell out in a heartbeat!
