Soy Fashionista was given $25.00 gift cards to shop at TJ Max, for their “Spring Spendervision” event, and write about our experiences. So let’s go shopping, ladies: www.marshallsonline.com.

Thank you so much for my gift card for TJ Maxx! I had fun on my little shopping spree. With the economy the way it is, it has made me realize how important it is to save and shop smart. Going on my shopping trip showed me what very good bargains they have. I was able to buy a pair of work pants off the clearance rack, paying a very small fraction of the price compared to what I would have paid at a retail store. In addition, I was able to buy two more blouses and a cardigan, which left me able to work out a few more outfits. I felt very good with my buys and even better knowing I am going to be looking fly at work.

My T.J. Maxx experience was a bit daunting because I did not expect there to be so much to choose from! The Walnut, CA location was so large, that I spent two and a half hours just looking around. They have a great array of purses (the Betsyville by Betsey Johnson and Charles David buttery, leather bags were my faves), but the shoe department was SEVERELY lacking in cute options. There was literally one pair that I semi-liked and I’m a shoe freak.
After looking at almost everything, I ended up with a few home furnishing items and cool knick-knacks. I was actually pretty surprised to end up with that stuff because I didn’t even know they sold such lovely home décor pieces. Their sheet sets were lovely, as well, with really high thread-counts (all of you that love sleeping as much as I do, know what a difference thread counts can make!) that would definitely make you feel like you were in a luxury hotel. My experience was a pretty good one. For those of you who have never been, be prepared to spend a large portion of your day there, because they have a lot to offer.
