Soy Fashionista was given $25.00 gift cards to shop at Marshalls, for their "Spring Spendervision” event, and write about our experiences. So let’s go shopping, ladies: www.marshallsonline.com.

I ‘ve never been really big fan of discount department stores. Not only do I hate shopping, I really hate going through merchandise to find the right item. When I was given the gift card, I decided to try something new and go with an open mind and got to shopping. As I entered the store, it was clean and organized. As I walked through, I saw all these awesome Calvin Klein Red pumps, that melted my heart at first sight! I walked over to them, fearing that the price would be too high. The pumps were only $12.50! I got so excited, because they looked great on, so I had to get them in my shopping cart. I continued looking through their items, and I found this beautiful fuchsia cotton summer dress. I tried it on, and it was a perfect fit, and an even more perfect price at $10.00. I didn’t think that I would find 2 items under $25.00, but I did….And I think I’ll be back to shop at Marshalls. If you’re shoe crazy like me, check out their shoe selection…you will be so impressed!

Marshalls Experience
My son was graduating from the fifith grade and the school wanted all the kids to come dressed nicely for their transition ceremony. After convincing my son that a tuxedo would be a bit much, we went to Marshalls. I found a great selction name brand of ties, dress shirts, slacks, shoes (and a presentable outfit for me, as well) all at one fourth of the original price! I was so pleased that I was able to find everything I needed for both him and myself in one store.

“Marshalls has the Goods”
A shopping challenge? I’m up for it! The cool people from Marshalls sent me a $25 Marshalls gift card. I swear this couldn’t have come at a better time. I’m a broke graduate student now…hello budget...goodbye style? Not in this case! This little gift card lifted my spirits.
I went into the Marshalls store in Inglewood, CA and I found a few items to try on. The dressing room attendant was very friendly and helpful. I know Marshalls usually doesn’t come to mind when young women think of hip contemporary clothes, but, trust me, they have the goods. I found Hurley shorts, Juicy dresses, summer tops, Guess heels, Steve Madden sandals, Escada perfume, etc. I ultimately chose a cute burgundy cotton tube top for $9.99 and a black cardigan for $12.99. As I paid the cashier (total $25.22) we struck up a conversation about my green Juicy Couture purse. This was definitely a great experience; I came out with two items I love for only $25.22.
