Blingin' Like Mr. T!

As my nearest and dearest have witnessed, I LOVE jewelry. Ridiculously expensive, delicate, costume or even some God-awful gaudy gold all have some role en mi vida. I’m constantly breaking things apart and putting them together in different ways; once even managing to turn a vintage purse chain into a Goth-looking necklace. Basically, I’m like MacGyver mixed with Mr. T. and love it.
I found a great site that caters to my random love of kitsch and sexy earrings. By the way, for the record, I was rockin’ bamboo earrings looooooong before they came back into play, even though I was constantly mocked! Since a few of my girls have no shame, my good friend owns a custom pair that says her name in one earring and “Chola” in the other. Seriously. She’s down like that.
Anyway, back to my new favorite site: Girlprops offers a super-random selection of jewelry you never knew you wanted. Being a lil’ B-girl to the fullest, I thoroughly adore the Roxanne Shante-looking doorknocker earrings and old-school looking necklaces, but love that they also sell unusually funkdified rings and sunglasses that I’d never thought I’d dig. Many lovely items have been featured everywhere from “Life & Style” magazine to “Lucky” magazine, which are both great venues at getting the word out on what’s new and caliente. Not as great as us, but still good nonetheless, ha-ha! J
You gotta love un lado where you can not only get a hula-dancing dashboard doll: But also an adorable two-finger anillo de culebra at the same time!
