According to Go Green Initiative - The Problem: “...if the world’s natural resources were evenly distributed, people in 2050 will only have 25% of the resources per capita that people in 1950 had.”  In this case, my future children and grandchildren will be fulfilling these statistics. The earth has a fixed number of natural resources and once they are all used up, that will be it. Unfortunately, there are some materials that can not be reproduced or grown, (i.e.: clean air, fresh water, and fuel). Other materials (such as plants and trees) can be grown, but if there is no soil then where can they be cultivated?

On the bright side, going green is way of changing things up a bit. It gives us many alternatives to our everyday lifestyles. There are many different companies that are now going green. The concept has brought many together to see that there is a problem that needs to be dealt with, and many are coming up with great solutions.

Recycling can be one of the most important and simplest solutions that we forget. If each one of us was to dispose of our material(s) in the proper places, we would conserve a lot of material that can be reused.

I really liked how Go Green Initiative - Frequently Asked Questions showed me a way to get involved. The people behind GO Green Initiative really are looking into the future of many generations to come. It is a program that was established in 2002 to promote environmental responsibility among school campuses all through the nation.  This program is a great way to bring all members of education together in making changes for the present and the future to come.
