Nuesto domingo, For the Week.

As a kid, did you guys get a domingo? Not an allowance guys, my papa gave us “un domingo” if we were behaved all week and our rooms were clean. I remember my brother and I had a small list of chores to do every Saturday, and even when my brother didn’t want to do them, I’d remind him tomorrow was Sunday and we’d be 5 dollars richer! Now at the age of seven, or eight, that was a pretty big deal. Now days, my fifteen year old brother asks for at least 20 dollars for the movies or to go hang out with friends, ¿cómo cambian los tiempos, no? Back then, my brother and I would save up and combine our cash for Nintendo games, or in the summer time go out and buy the biggest super soaker to enjoy in the heat. It is really funny to look back at how our culture affected how differently we were brought up or even taught responsibility. I knew my toys and books had to be neatly put away and I needed to fold my clothes before I could earn, what I felt back then was a fortune. What kind of things did you do to earn that domingo, and what’d you save up to buy?
