Mi Mami para mi es toda un mujer con classe y elegancia. Most recently Mami carried the title of truimfadora Del Cancer. She battled Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for two years and is in remission. I spent many hours alongside her hospital bed recalling every possible memory of my childhood. I remember all the times she was there for me from my earliest recollections of playing dolls with her, to her reassures of my beauty and that despite of my uni-brow, braces, boyish haircut, and pudgy face, I was the most beautiful nine-year old girl there was. Right! She was certain that much like a butterfly, I would eventually shed my cocoon and out would emerge a beautiful woman with two separate eyebrows. I'm still waiting. She has always been a positive force in my life and when things get difficult she always has the right words to say. I am eternally grateful to her for exemplifying what it is to love whole heartedly without risk , and to have faith in my myself . Te Quiero Mucho Mami y Feliz Dia De Las Madres.
