READY for Trey Songz, Again?

Trey Songz has scheduled his next album to be released September 14th. His album of late 2009, “Ready” was the biggest album of this career, Top 10 spot for that album, singles currently in Spots #4 (Neighbors Know My Name) and #12 (Say Ahh) for R&B Song, a Grammy nominee, and a current big tour going on, aren’t enough, he’s still bringing it, and honestly, I’m more than ok with that! In an interview with MTV, his manager said, “…he’s not gonna stop… he knows he has to redefine R&B and is working hard every day.” His album “Ready” was a different sound from his previous albums, he’s more mature, getting is grown man on and teaching the neighbors his name. On the current cover of Vibe magazine, Trey pretty much convinced me he invented sex! Wow! He also did a feature on Complex Magazine describing himself, his style and his influences. When asked about who influenced him he said that while R.Kelly is one of, if not his favorite, that he appreciated the fact that many singers can do different things and make different sounds, because that’s who he feels he is. He said, “You don’t have one personality every day. You don‘t have just one mood. That‘s the way I look at music; there’s not just one type of song I can sing.” The Ready album is still active on my play list, but I’m looking forward to September now. Currently on tour with Jay-Z, he will be on another tour this August.
