Semillitas Tostadas

Once the pumpkin’s are carved what do we do with the semillitas? Let’s toast them !

What we need:

  • 1 cup raw pumpkin seeds dried
  • 6 tablespoons white sugar divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F
  2. Spread the semillitas on a baking sheet.
  3. Toast for 45 minutes
  4. In a large bowl, stir together 2 tablespoons of white sugar, salt, and cinnamon                                                            sugar. Set aside.
  5. Heat the oil in a large skillet
  6. Add the semillitas and sprinkle the remaining sugar over them.
  7. Pour seeds into the bowl with the cinnamon sugar and stir until coated.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.
