Its Saturday night and you just got done dancing all night. You’re leaving the club and what’s the first thing you see walking out? La Dona making her salchichas wrapped in tocino. I don’t know about you, but I am all over that!

I remember as a little girl going to Mexico and having the infamous bacon wrapped hot dog for the first time. My mom would get so excited and say “Gordo vamos a encontrar el senor de los hot dogs”, and there we were, seaching for el senor, street-by -street at close to 2 in the morning, coming on our way to the hotel. It wasn’t until I finally had one that I completely understood my mom’s urgency to locate the hot dog man . It’s unclear where this antojo orginated from and at this point, I’m just glad someone did.  This is definitely one of those childhood comfort foods. Its always a treat when we can have “un hot dog con bacon”!

Here’s what you’ll need
Hot Bogs
Buns
Bacon

These hot dogs can be prepared two different ways: in the oven or on the grill.  Place hot dogs wrapped in bacon on a cookie sheet to bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 minutes. Or you can grill the hot dogs until bacon is golden brown .Remove from oven or grill and prepare with desired condiments .
